“Your Input is Essential. Without it, We Risk Missing Key Perspectives” MCPS Asks For Community Feedback as Boundary Survey Closes Soon

Published On:

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is conducting a major boundary study in light of new developments and expansions within the school district. The study is driven by the upcoming openings of Crown High School and Woodward High School, as well as the planned expansion of Damascus High School. MCPS has announced that the boundary survey will be closing soon and is urging stakeholders to participate, as the outcomes could directly affect where students will attend school.

In a previous letter to the community, MCPS wrote “

Your input is essential. Without it, we risk missing key perspectives.”

The survey aims to gather feedback that will influence the planning for:

– Crown High School

– The expansion of Damascus High School

– The reopening of Charles W. Woodward High School (scheduled for the 2027–2028 school year)

Community members are encouraged to complete the survey, which will remain open through mid-July. This timeframe allows participants to review initial options and accompanying resources and to provide meaningful feedback. To submit your input, visit:
