Virginia Governor Directs State Police to Open Full Criminal Investigation into Alleged School-Funded Abortions in Fairfax County

Glenn Youngkin, the governor of Virginia, ordered the Virginia State Police to launch a criminal inquiry into claims that abortions in Fairfax County were subsidized by schools. The inquiry follows the publication of a report that contained specific claims of school employees helping children obtain abortions without their parents’ permission.

The claims that officials at Fairfax County Public Schools may have misappropriated public monies to pay for the abortions and arranged for adolescents to get them without parental consent genuinely worry me. Governor Glenn Youngkin declared, “I am ordering the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation to launch a thorough criminal investigation into the matter right away.”

According to reports, school authorities may have planned and funded some kids’ abortions without informing their parents. Additionally, reports suggest that the school administration may have been aware of this and that school funds—including federal, state, and local funds—may have been used.

Please call the Virginia State Police at [email protected] or (804) 674-2196 if you know anything about these claims.
