Victim Identity Released in Rockville Homicide; MCPD Investigating

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating the June 14, 2025, homicide of 38-year-old Vincent De Porres Young II, who was found with gunshot wounds in a Rockville apartment.

According to MCPD, “On Saturday, June 14, 2025, at approximately 7:51 a.m., officers from Rockville City Police and Montgomery County Police responded to an apartment building in the 600 block of Blandford Street for a check the welfare call.

Upon arrival, officers entered an apartment and located De Porres Young with apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following an autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, the manner of death was ruled a homicide. This is an active and ongoing investigation and there is no suspect information at this time.
