On Friday, July 4, the Upper Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department (UMCVFD) will throw a fun celebration in Poolesville that will include fireworks, live entertainment, and a range of culinary options.

With the viewing spot directed by GPS coordinates set to 15598 Hughes Rd, Poolesville, MD 20837, the event will be held on privately owned property at the field near the intersection of Hughes and Sugarland Roads in Poolesville, MD.

At 5:00 p.m., parking gates open, and guests must pay a $10 cash fee per car to enter. The 4th of July Fireworks expenditure fund will get a direct allocation of parking money. Parking along Hughes Road is prohibited, according to the organizers, and guests are asked to heed the instructions of the police and parking attendants.

The Brickyard Road Band will perform live, and there will be a variety of food trucks on the premises. Strict rules are in place to protect everyone’s safety and enjoyment: pets, open flames like candles or BBQ grills, and alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the property. The Montgomery County Police Department may also inspect any coolers that are brought to the event.

The Upper Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department, the Town of Poolesville, and the Poolesville Area Chamber of Commerce are supporting this event. Volunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians are volunteering their time to ensure a safe atmosphere.
