Two-Vehicle Collision Leaves One Injured and Bystander Transported to Hospital

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a two-vehicle incident that happened today near the intersection of Muddy Branch Road and Conservation Lane in Gaithersburg. Assistant Chief David Pazos reported that the event occurred at 12:37 p.m.


Emergency personnel found one of the automobiles had overturned when they arrived. The rescue crew quickly attended to the injured driver of the overturned vehicle. Thankfully, the injuries were not considered life-threatening, and the person received the on-site medical care they need.

The driver of the second car in the incident said they did not require emergency medical attention and refused to be transported. In addition, an adult bystander who was entangled in the accident’s debris was sent to a nearby hospital for assessment. Additionally, it was said that the bystander’s injuries were not life-threatening.

Authorities are still investigating the events leading up to the crash in order to identify the key elements. While emergency workers handled the scene, local traffic was momentarily disrupted.
