Yelp’s list of the Top 100 Sandwich Shops in the US includes two Maryland restaurants. In celebration of National Sandwich Month, the list showcases some of America’s greatest handhelds, ranging from traditional subs to inventive variations.

With outlets in Rockville and Annapolis, Full On Craft Eats & Drinks came in at number 44 on the national list. High-end sandwiches cooked with house-roasted meats and handmade sauces are the restaurant’s specialty. Michelle Houser Harris, the chef and co-owner of the restaurant, competed on one season of the reality show Hell’s Kitchen. In the past, Business Insider ranked Full On as the greatest sandwich store in Maryland.

Baltimore earned a higher ranking on the list, ranking #35. For its inventive interpretations on food, the Asian fusion restaurant has won praise from all throughout the country. The restaurant’s creator, Steven Chu, attended Quince Orchard High School in Gaithersburg. Ekiben is scheduled to establish its first location outside of Baltimore, close to Frederick. The restaurant has been featured on prior Yelp Top 100 lists for a number of categories.

Yelp identified companies in its sandwiches category and ranked them according to a variety of criteria, such as the quantity and quality of reviews, to create the list. You may view the complete list here.
