In a recent development on Rockville Pike, Royal Durbar has signed on to take over the space that was most recently home to Damso Korean BBQ at 1319 Rockville Pike in the Woodmont Station shopping center. The space was occupied by Saffron Indian Cuisine before that.
While details about Royal Durbar are still sparse, its introduction promises to add a new dimension of flavors to Rockville’s diverse dining scene and an awning with the new restaurant’s name and logo is already up. An opening date or timeframe is not yet available.
Damso opened in April 2023 and
closed earlier this year
after less than two years in business. The restaurant was known for its authentic Korean dishes and signature Korean barbecue. The 3,210 SF space was described as “fully built out as a restaurant or cafe space” and in “excellent condition,” and was made available to lease on March 1st, so it didn’t take long for a tenant to make the decision to move in. Stay tuned for further updates on Royal Durbar’s opening as well as additional information about the restaurant’s offerings.
