The Baltimore Ravens and Washington Commanders have decided to postpone their next joint practice, primarily due to logistical issues and the short turnaround time between games. To give both teams more time to concentrate on their individual preparations, the practice that was supposed to happen before to their preseason encounter has been canceled.
The Ravens issued a statement outlining their reasoning for the choice:The Ravens and Commanders decided not to have a joint practice next week due to the logistical difficulties caused by our teams’ prior games being on separate days and the additional stress on players coming into a short week. Rather, we will focus on getting ready for our next preseason game.
Commanders head coach Dan Quinn described the situation as unfortunate and acknowledged that the cancellation was caused by a schedule dispute. He did point out that the alteration had no bearing on the team’s prearranged preparations for their starting lineup to play the Bengals.
On Monday, August 18th, at 8 p.m., the Commanders will play the Bengals. On Saturday, August 23rd, they will play the Ravens to end the preseason. On Sunday, September 7th at 1 pm, the team will play the New York Giants at home to begin the regular season.
