UPDATE: The Metropolitan Police Department has located Brendan Peter Malone in Washington, D.C.The public is being asked to help detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police’s 3rd District Investigative Section find Brendan Peter Malone, a 35-year-old man with autism who has gone missing.
Malone was last observed on the 2400 block of Harmon Road in Silver Spring on Friday, June 27, 2025, at around 7 a.m. He weighs 165 pounds, has blue eyes and red hair, and is 5 feet 8 inches tall. When last seen, he was sporting a blue bag, gray t-shirt, blue jeans, and no shoes.Call 9-1-1 right away if you see it.
It is crucial to approach an autistic individual carefully and quietly while interacting with them. Steer clear of loud noises or abrupt movements that could frighten them. Even if the other person doesn’t answer out loud, use a soft, comforting voice. Above everything, make sure they are safe and bide your time until the cops arrive.
