Every September, the charming town of Poolesville bursts into life with the vibrant festivities of Poolesville Day. Scheduled for 10am-4pm on Saturday, September 20, 2025, this event has been a cornerstone of community celebration for more than 25 years. Held at Whalen Commons, Poolesville Day is a free, one-day extravaganza that attracts over 12,000 visitors eager to soak up the spirit of Poolesville.
The day kicks off with a lively town parade at 10:00 am, featuring colorful floats and local marching bands that set the tone for the festivities. For early risers, a 5K charity run begins at 8:00 am, offering a chance to support a good cause while enjoying the morning air. Families can look forward to a plethora of activities, including mechanical rides, a moon bounce, train and pony rides, and more. With arts and crafts vendors lining the historic downtown Commons, there are plenty of unique items to discover.
