The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at approximately 7am on June 5 at an Exxon located in the 11400 block in Rockville Pike, where a suspect displayed a handgun, stole cash and property, and fled the scene.
According to MCPD, “Detectives have determined that the suspect entered the store and immediately went behind the counter. The suspect then displayed a handgun and demanded cash. When the victim did not comply with the suspect’s demands, the suspect opened the cash register himself and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and property, before leaving the scene.
The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 40-years-old, 5-feet, 5-inches to 5-feet, 7-inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a light-colored scarf over his face, a black coat, blue jeans and tan boots.
