The deadly crash that happened near Brookeville on Saturday just after 6 p.m. is being looked into by the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD). The MCPD has summarized the events as follows:
Here is a quick rundown of what happened during a tragic traffic accident that happened close to Brookeville’s 22000 block of New Hampshire Avenue. On Saturday, August 9, 2025, at around 6:17 p.m., 4th District officers and Fire Rescue workers arrived on the scene of an accident between a car and a motorcycle.
Officers found a man adult on a black Triumph motorcycle when they arrived. He was declared dead at the spot despite attempts to save his life. The other driver, a male adult operating a silver 2013 BMW 128i, was not taken to the hospital and reported no injuries.
This crash is being looked at by the Montgomery County Department of Police’s crash Reconstruction Unit. Following appropriate next of kin notification, a news release will be released as soon as more details, including the decedent’s identity, become available.
