The July 2025 calendar of events was released by the Montgomery County Planning Department and the Montgomery County Planning Board.
Meetings of the Planning Board can be viewed live or on-demand, attended in person, or heard over the phone. Examine individual agendas, which are typically released to the public 10 days before a meeting begins. For information on the agenda, visit the website of the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC). See the events list below for further information. Changes may be made to these events. Please take note: On Friday, July 4, the offices of the Planning Board and Planning Department will be closed. In addition, the Planning Board will take a break in August and reconvene in September.
Calendar of meetings and events for July:
First of JulyThere will be a hybrid meeting of the Development Review Committee (DRC). The public can watch the DRC live video feed online or in person at M-NCPPC’s Wheaton Headquarters (2425 Reedie Drive, Third Floor, Conference Room #3-202, Wheaton, MD). Montgomery Planning, the State Highway Administration, the county departments of Permitting Services, Environmental Protection, and Transportation, as well as utilities like WSSC and PEPCO, are represented on the DRC, an interagency task force. DRC members meet twice a month to discuss development applications with applicants at these regularly scheduled meetings.
The weekly meeting of the Planning Board will take place virtually on July 3.
8 July A public hearing on the Planning Board Draft of the Master Plan of Highways and Transitways2025 Technical Update is set for 1:30 p.m. by the Montgomery County Council.Find out how to submit comments or take part in the public hearing.
At 7 p.m. on July 9, the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) will meet in person at the M-NCPPC Wheaton Headquarters, 2425 Reedie Drive, Second Floor Auditorium, Wheaton, MD. A virtual meeting will also be accessible upon request. Sign up by 9 a.m. to testify on an agenda topic.

The monthly Full Commission meeting of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is scheduled for July 16.
17 July The weekly meeting of the Planning Board will be conducted both online and in person at 2425 Reedie Drive, Second Floor, Wheaton, MD.
The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) will meet in person on July 23 at 7 p.m. at the M-NCPPC Wheaton Headquarters, 2425 Reedie Drive, Second Floor Auditorium, Wheaton, MD. A video meeting will be accessible upon request. Signing up to testify on an agenda item must be done before 9 a.m. on the day of the hearing.
24 July Every week, the Planning Board will meet both online and in person at the M-NCPPC Wheaton Headquarters, located at 2425 Reedie Drive, Second Floor, Wheaton, MD.
