At the intersection of Wayne Avenue and Fenton Street, Purple Line workers have started laying light rail tracks, repairing sidewalks, and finishing utility crossings and stormwater drainage. The junction of Wayne Avenue and Fenton Street will need to be temporarily closed to all traffic in order to complete this work.
Construction has been planned to take place during the local school summer break in order to cause the least amount of interruption. Some Ride-On bus lines and WMATA routes, however, might be impacted. For any changes or information about detours, please contact your transit service provider directly.
