The 39 National Association of Counties (NACo) Achievement Awards for 2025 were given to Montgomery County in recognition of creative and successful initiatives in a range of departments, including public health, safety, the environment, and transportation.
According to the press release, 39 National Association of Counties (NACo) Achievement Awards for 2025 were given to Montgomery County. The NACo Achievement Awards have honored outstanding county government services and activities since 1970.
These awards, which are given out through an open application procedure, honor creative and successful initiatives that cover a wide variety of County duties.
According to County Executive Marc Elrich, Montgomery County is honored to have won 39 NACo awards. These honors show how innovative and committed our County agencies are to serving the wide range of community needs. They demonstrate our dedication to serve all locals, from advancing sustainability and economic opportunity to bolstering public health and safety. I want to express my gratitude to the County staff for their dedication and creativity in creating a friendly and prosperous Montgomery County for all.

Alcohol Beverage Services: Using Data for Loss Prevention Success, RTD Connect, Kegs Room Transformation, Breakage and Repackage Management, Local Products Partnership with Tourism Bureau, Spirited Discussions Podcast, Dry January, and Alcohol Training in Six Additional Languages.
Department of Correction and Rehabilitation: Electronic Health Records (CorEMR), Sweet Release Bakery Job Training Program, and Jail-Based Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program.
Department of Environmental Protection: Gude Landfill Remediation Project, Healthy, Efficient, Electrified, Climate-Adapted Pilot Homes Grants Program.
The Rising Together: Inclusive Pathways to Child Care Employment for Refugee Women, DHHS Mobile Health Clinic, Charlemos Con Zumba (Let’s Chat and Zumba), and Babies Born Healthy Right From the Start are all publications from the Department of Health and Human Services.
