Metro has announced service information for the
Army 250
th
Birthday Parade and Celebration
activities on Saturday, June 14th.

Red Line trains arrive every 6 minutes during the day and every 10 minutes after 9:30 p.m.

Green and Yellow line trains arrive every 8 minutes all day.

Blue, Orange, and Silver line
trains run every 12 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes after 9:30 p.m.
Some Metrobus routes and the National Mall entrance of the Smithsonian Metrorail Station will be affected due to road closures and the security perimeter.
Customers are encouraged to download the
MetroPulse App
for real-time bus and rail service information. Those riding Metrorail can skip the fare machines and simply tap a credit or debit card to enter and exit the faregates.
“We’ve kicked off a busy summer of large events, and we want everyone to know Metro is the best way to get to the parade and Army birthday celebration,” said Metro General Manager and CEO Randy Clarke. “We always stand ready to move large crowds and will have extra staff onsite to help visitors navigate the system.”
Due to the security perimeter for the festival, the National Mall entrance for the Smithsonian Station will be closed all day Saturday. The station can be accessed at 12
th
and Independence Ave. SW.
Customers heading to the National Mall for the festival are advised to use other Metro stations, including L’Enfant Plaza, Federal Center SW, or Archives-Navy Memorial, to access the area.
For those attending the parade, customers may use Foggy Bottom, Farragut West, Farragut North, McPherson Square, Metro Center, Federal Triangle, and Archives-Navy Memorial to access the security checkpoints.

Metrobuses will have detours or delays
