The 17-year-old Potomac, Maryland native Zoe Cusack has been chosen to play for the United States in the 2025 U.S. Junior Ryder Cup.
After placing second at the 2025 Girls Junior PGA Championship, Zoe, a rising senior at Winston Churchill High School, guaranteed her spot. With wins at the AJGA Junior in Indiana and the Maryland Girls Junior Amateur, she has had an outstanding season and has verbally committed to the University of Virginia. Zoe, who is coached by John Scott Rattan at Congressional Country Club, will play against Team Europe on September 23–25 in New York with five other elite junior girls in a coed U.S. team.
Twelve of the best young golfers in the country—six boys and six girls—make up the U.S. young Ryder Cup squad, which plays against their European counterparts in a biannual international competition. In order to promote the upcoming generation of top golfers, the event is organized in conjunction with the Ryder Cup and features both team and singles match play.
