The most recent multi-millionaire in Maryland is a man from Charles County who found a $2,041,396 progressive jackpot win on a $30FAST PLAYGold Rush Progressive ticket. The retiree clarified that he scanned the ticket after buying it at a liquor store and saw the well-known “Go to Lottery” message.
He took the ticket home with his wife. They weren’t sure if they had won the progressive jackpot because they had problems interpreting some of the numbers. A $2 million-winning FAST PLAY ticket was then sold at the couple’s favorite store, Mutt’s Liquors, located at 4541 Indian Head Highway in Indian Head, according to an item they viewed online.
I purchased the ticket at that liquor store. The Southern Marylander said, “I knew it had to be it.”
The pair eventually received confirmation that they had the big winner when they scheduled a visit to lottery headquarters for July 1.
