Variety reports that Jon Bernthal, a native of Maryland, will return to his role as The Punisher, also known as Frank Castle, in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie from Sony and Marvel. Prior to starring in The Punisher, Bernthal played the part in Netflix’s Daredevil. He made a comeback lately in Daredevil: Born Again, and he will be the star of a 2026 Disney+ special that Reinaldo Marcus Green is directing.
The actor attended Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C., and graduated in 1995. He was raised in the Cabin John neighborhood.
