“When a Baltimore man went to the store to pick up some fruit on June 2, he had no way of knowing he was about to have the most fruitful Lottery experience of his life.

As he was walking past the Lottery kiosk after finishing his shopping at the Safeway store in Parkville, the winner thought about buying some tickets, but decided against it. But, before he reached the exit, he heard someone talking about Powerball. That’s when he decided to turn around and pick up five

While at a friend’s house a few days later, he heard that a winning Powerball ticket was sold at the same store. He rushed home, checked his tickets and saw matched all five white balls on the Powerball ticket. Once he realized he was a $1 million winner, he called him mother to share the news.

The happy Baltimore winner likes to spend his free time exercising and playing basketball.

The Safeway store at 8858 Waltham Woods Road in Baltimore County will receive a $2,500 bonus for selling a winning second-tier Powerball ticket worth $1 million.

In addition to this winner, there has been one other second-tier $1 million Powerball winning ticket sold in Maryland this year. On June 11, a
