Maryland Casinos Generate $165.7M in July, Down Slightly from Last Year

In July 2025, gaming revenue at Maryland’s six casinos was $165.7 million, a 2.5% drop from July 2024. The majority of individual casinos saw just slight year-over-year increases, with the state receiving $71.9 million of that total, including $51.7 million for the Education Trust Fund.


According to the press release, in July 2025, the six casinos in Maryland made a total of $165,661,894 from slot machines and table games. In comparison to July 2024, the statewide total decreased by $4,159,416 (-2.5%).

In July 2025, the state received $71,857,827 from casino gaming, a $305,727 (-0.4%) reduction over July 2024. $51,742,064 was contributed to the Education Trust Fund in July 2025, which was $272,892 (-0.5%) less than in July 2024. Revenues from casino gaming also assist Maryland’s horse racing industry, small, minority, and women-owned businesses, as well as the communities and jurisdictions where the casinos are situated.

Slot machines and table games are available in the six privately held casinos in Maryland: Prince George’s County’s MGM National Harbor; Anne Arundel County’s Live! Casino & Hotel; Baltimore City’s Horseshoe Casino; Worcester County’s Ocean Downs Casino; Cecil County’s Hollywood Casino Perryville; and Allegany County’s Rocky Gap Casino Resort.

The following were the gaming income totals for July 2025:In July 2025, MGM National Harbor ($68,587,339) had 2,261 slot machines and 208 table games, a $3,396,384 (-4.7%) drop from July 2024.

In July 2025, Live! Casino & Hotel (3,832 slot machines, 179 table games) made $59,702,771, which was $2,860,124 (-4.6%) less than in July 2024.

In July 2025, Horseshoe Casino ($14,415,536) had 1,365 slot machines and 115 table games, up $1,098,302 (8.2%) from July 2024.

In July 2025, Ocean Downs Casino (900 slot machines, 18 table games) made $10,236,754, which was $615,672 (6.4%) more than in July 2024.

In July 2025, Hollywood Casino (731 slot machines, 23 table games) made $7,622,642, which was $325,372 (4.5%) more than in July 2024.

In July 2025, Rocky Gap Casino (630 slot machines, 12 table games) made $5,096,851, up $57,746 (1.1%) from July 2024.
