On Saturday, August 24th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Brandon Cheng, the founder of Sole Inspires, and Chris Patterson of Bangin BBQ will hold their first-ever FREE Back-to-School Drive at Northwest High School. As students get ready for the new school year, the community-focused event seeks to supply them with necessary materials and services.
Among the many options available during the free event are haircuts, school supplies, and backpacks. Free food and beverages are also available to attendees, and moon bounces are one type of entertainment. To take advantage of these opportunities, anyone is welcome to visit Northwest High School, which is situated at 13501 Richter Farm Road, Germantown, MD 20874.
For Brandon Cheng, who grew up in Germantown and even spent a year at Northwest High School, this effort holds special significance. Cheng has a lengthy history in the area and currently runs his shoe company, Sole Inspires, at the Clarksburg Outlets. After investigating several places in the area, he opened his storefront in the spring of 2023 after starting Sole Inspires as an online and mobile business.Bangin BBQ, a food truck and catering business based in Germantown that specializes in real North Carolina barbecue, is joining Sole Inspires in this endeavor. Bangin BBQ, which is well-known for its succulent, smokey meats and gourmet sides, will be there to serve complimentary meals to guests, adding to the event’s sense of community.
