Around 5:00 p.m., Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) arrived at the scene of a house fire in the Washington Grove/Derwood neighborhood in the 17000 block of Amity Drive. It was most likely caused by lightning during heavy weather.About 65 firemen responded, according to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer. Crews are doing an overhaul and investigation after putting out the fire that was between the garage and the first level.
