Juneteenth Transit Schedule Announced: County Offices Closed, Ride On and Metro on Holiday Service

According to Montgomery County, most transportation services, like as Metrorail and Ride On buses, will run on holiday or weekend schedules on Thursday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. Parking is free at public garages, lots, and meters. County offices will also be closed on that day.

According to the press release, the Juneteenth holiday timetable for transit on Thursday, June 19 is as follows:

  • County offices Will be closed.
  • Ride On

    , Ride On extRa (

    101/Rockville Pike

    ,

    Pink

    and

    Lime

    routes) and

    Flex

    bus services Will operate on a

    Holiday

    schedule.

  • Ride On Flash bus service Will operate on a Weekend/Holiday schedule (

    Orange Route only

    ). The

    Blue Route

    (typically, weekday only) will not be in service.

  • TRiPS Silver Spring Commuter

    Store

    – Will be open 10 a.m. 4 p.m.

  • TRiPS Mobile Commuter

    Store

    – Will be closed.

  • Parking at

    Bethesda, Silver Spring and Wheaton

    public garages, lots and curbside meters Will be

    free

  • Metrorail

    and

    Metrobus

    – Metrorail will operate on a

    Saturday Holiday

    schedule from 5 a.m. to midnight. Metrobus will operate on a Saturday +Supplemental schedule. View all schedules at

  • MARC Train
