Longtime Washington supporter and Montgomery County, Maryland resident Jon Bernthal recently posted a selfie he took of himself working out at Life Time in Seven Locks, Potomac, with Redskins legend Dexter Manley.
We recently announced that Jon Bernthal, a native of Montgomery County, will be returning to his role as Frank Castle, also known as The Punisher, in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie from Sony and Marvel. The actor attended Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C., and graduated in 1995. He was raised in the Cabin John neighborhood. He still has family in the region, and readers frequently send in selfies they took with him when they see him in Montgomery County at the grocery store, gym, mall, and other local locations. Bernthal was the one who posted the selfie this time.
As a defensive end for the Washington Redskins, Dexter Manley was a renowned football player. After playing football for Oklahoma State in college, he was selected by the Redskins in the fifth round of the 1981 NFL Draft. Manley was a vital member of the Redskins for nine seasons, winning two Super Bowls and being selected to the Pro Bowl in 1986. He was dubbed the Secretary of Defense because of his commanding presence on the field.
