Come celebrate the 87th Annual Labor Day Parade, a beloved custom that marks the unofficial end of summer, with the City of Gaithersburg and the Gaithersburg-Washington Grove Fire Department. The parade will start at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 1st and will be held along Russell and East Diamond Avenues.

A thrilling lineup that includes high school marching bands, dancing groups, costumed characters, vintage cars, fire engines, equestrian teams, clowns, and much more is in store for spectators. More information about parking will be released closer to the event date for attendees.

There will be food sellers at Olde Towne Plaza and in the Gaithersburg-Washington Grove Fire Station parking lot. The transit station on Odendhal Avenue is only a short stroll away from Russell Avenue, where attendees looking for a shaded place can have a comfortable viewing experience.

Community organizations and clubs are cordially invited by the City of Gaithersburg to take part in the parade. Participating in this yearly event provides an excellent chance to interact with the community, present your group, and possibly earn a unique prize. The official website of the City of Gaithersburg allows interested groups to register.

Please be aware that the City of Gaithersburg does not necessarily endorse the involvement of groups or organizations other than its officials, departments, or committees.
