Commas Food Hall, a brand-new 13,000-square-foot culinary attraction located on the third floor of Ellsworth Place (8661 Colesville Road) in Downtown Silver Spring, is currently home to 6 Skewersis.
Persian appetizers such Kashk Bademjan (eggplant with whey) and Mirza Ghasemi (smoky eggplant with tomato) are on the menu. Falafel, Mind Meets Mouth (veal brain and tongue), and Bandari Heat (spicy beef franks) are some examples of sandwiches. Joojeh Kabob (saffron chicken), Koobideh (ground beef kabob), and spicy or saffron wings are examples of grilled alternatives. Rice and sides are served on full plates, and Shole Zard (saffron rice pudding) is served for dessert.
You are cordially invited to join us at our Persian table, where we combine traditional customs with contemporary flair to create a novel interpretation of authenticity right in the middle of Silver Spring. Chef Ali’s creation, 6 Skewers, was inspired by his lifetime love of Persian cuisine as well as the ideas he gained from years of traveling the world.
Every dish narrates a tale that embraces contemporary culinary trends while paying tribute to Persian history. Classic Persian dishes like Ghormeh Sabzi, Joojeh Kabab, and Ash Reshteh are used to reinvent delectable sandwiches, sizzling kabobs, and savory stews. A nostalgic and thrilling dining experience is produced by the smooth blending of the old and the new, of tradition and innovation.
