Former Greene Turtle Building Goes to Auction Next Week

D1 Seafood Buffet & Bar (19961 Century Boulevard) in Germantown closed permanently this past spring. The space was previously home to Sushi Legend Cajun Seafood and Bar until December 2023, and before that, The Greene Turtle until 2020. The building was listed as available for sale with a $3.5 million price tag, and now it’s going to auction.


On Wednesday, July 23 at 11am, 19961 Century  live will  go to auction at the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, at the Court House Door, 50 Maryland Ave., Rockville, MD 20850. The 10,219 SF building was built in 2002 has has been home to three restaurants since it was built. The built-out restaurant also comes with 70 parking spaces and is being sold in “AS-IS” condition.


Per the auction listing:

All of the following described property situated and being in Montgomery County, State of Maryland, the improvements thereon being known as 19961 Century Boulevard, Tax ID #02-

03312144 and being more particularly described as follows:

BEING KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS Parcel Q in the subdivision known as “Parcels

Q, R and S Century XXI (Resubdivision of Parcel D)” as per plat thereof recorded among the Land Records of Montgomery County, Maryland as Plat No. 216076.

TOGETHER WITH the easements described in Declaration of Easements and Agreement, of records among the Land Records of Montgomery County in Liber NO. 18908 at Folio 621, etc.

In addition, included is all right, title and interest in and to all present and future leases of the Property and all Rents from the property as well as a Uniform Commercial Code security interest in all Personal Property and Rents.

The property was formerly used as the restaurant known as “DI Seafood Buffet” located in Germantown. It comprises approx. 1.13 +/- acres of land area and is improved by a commercial building containing approx. 10,129 sq. ft. of building area according to the Maryland State Dept. of Assessment and Taxation.

The property and improvements, if any, will be sold in an “AS IS” condition and subject to all senior liens and encumbrances that are not extinguished by operation of law by the foreclosure sale of the property and all conditions, restrictions, existing building, zoning, and/or environmental violations, agreements of record affecting the same, if any, and with no warranty either expressed or implied as to the description of the condition of the property or the improvements thereon.
