Patowmack Bowfishing Charters

has launched The Kountry Tiki– a floating tiki bar cruise that’s operating from White’s Ferry, offering public and private Potomac River cruises for up to six guests with music, scenic views, and onboard amenities. Our very own Mr. MoCo stopped by to support the new venture (full video below).

“I thought it sounded cool and different so we booked it and went out with the family today…it was a lot of fun.

It’s bring-your-own-snacks and drinks so we made a fun charcuterie board for everyone and brought a couple drinks for the adults. The kids were entertained for the full two hours and captain Andy even stopped at a small beach for them to hop off and play for a little.

An adult-only trip would be a lot of fun too, but we did this at noon today and had an awesome time. There was even a bathroom on board (a nice one).

For more info, or to book, call or text 301-471-4119.”

In our last update on the White’s Ferry saga between Maryland and Virginia, we reported that White’s Ferry owners Chuck and Stacy Kuhn have offered to donate the ferry business and assets, valued at $4.5 million, to Loudoun County, VA after Montgomery County recently declined a similar offer, as part of their ongoing effort to reopen the historic Potomac River crossing. Since then, the Kuhns formally presented the offer to Loudoun County, which has indicated a willingness to consider it. The proposal is aimed at addressing zoning challenges and reopening the ferry, which has remained closed since 2020 amid a dispute over landing rights on the Virginia side.
