More details about a deadly single-vehicle crash that occurred on Connecticut Avenue this morning have been made public by the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).
For a single vehicle incident, Montgomery County 2nd District officers and Fire Rescue were sent to the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and Adams Drive at around 4 a.m., according to MCPD.
When they arrived, they found a yellow 2018 Honda Fit with a single adult male occupant. According to the preliminary evidence, the motorist struck a utility box and a pole after crossing the median into southbound Connecticut Avenue. After being taken to a nearby hospital, the driver passed away.
This crash is being looked at by the Montgomery County Department of Police’s crash Reconstruction Unit. Following appropriate notification of the next of kin, a news release will be issued as soon as more details, including the decedent’s identity, become available.
