On Germantown Road (Route 118), close to Charity Lane in Germantown, the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) responded to an incident where a car had probably collided with a large fallen tree.
The motorist refused to be transported after being extricated and assessed on the spot, according to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer. Lane closures have occurred on Germantown Road between Richter Farm Road and Riffleford Road as a result of the incident.
