Now officially open is Dolan Uyghur Cuisine, a much-anticipated addition to Montgomery County’s eating scene since we broke the news a few weeks ago. Specializing on Central Asian authentic Uyghur cuisine, the restaurant is situated in The Square at Rockville at 20-A Maryland Ave in Rockville, in the building that was previously used by Peter Chang Rockville and Kung Fu Kitchen.
The Dolan Uyghur Restaurant offers a variety of cuisines and is renowned for its distinctive culinary culture. Specialties like hand-pulled noodles, savory chicken stew, handcrafted dumplings, and a variety of kebabs, including lamb, rib, and entire lamb tandoor, are in store for patrons. Along with a wide variety of vegan and halal alternatives, the menu also offers stir-fried lamb and dry-fried chicken.
With three current locations in Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C., Dolan Uyghur Restaurant already has a significant footprint and this new Rockville facility is the first in Maryland. By serving unique and healthful food, the restaurant hopes to promote and maintain Uyghur culture.
