We informed you in September 2023 that Dunkin would be located at 17700 Muncaster Road, which is close to Muncaster Mill Road. Although there have been some delays in the project—the most recent data indicates that efforts are still being made to address traffic-related permits issues—construction is still moving forward.
An existing commercial structure that was once a daycare center is being converted into the new Dunkin’. The proposal is for a 2,500-square-foot restaurant with a drive-through, a new bike and pedestrian shared path, and building architectural upgrades.
Although the conversion permit was granted in August 2024, there was a minor setback in the approval procedure. The project’s developers, Luis Group Management, a well-known local franchisee, are steadfast in their commitment to the new site in spite of the setbacks. The initiative intends to increase local circulation and the property’s aesthetic appeal. A new 8-foot-wide shared-use path and a left-turn lane from Muncaster Road into the property are among the suggested upgrades to help alleviate any possible traffic jams.
Although the new Dunkin’s opening date is still up in the air, development is proceeding. As soon as an official opening date and timeframe are available, you will be informed.
