The league was enthralled with RGIII’s dual-threat talent when he first appeared. Washington made its first postseason participation since 2007 because to his leadership and spectacular playmaking, which was exemplified by his then-rookie record of 815 running yards by a quarterback. He was named Offensive Rookie of the Year. Fans and the NFL landscape were forever changed by his performance that season.
Jayden Daniels of the 2024 draft class joins RGIII at the coveted number one slot on the list. Daniels led the Commanders to a playoff berth and an appearance in the NFC Championship Game during his remarkable first season. After passing for 3,568 yards and 25 touchdowns in 17 games with a passer rating of 100.1, he was named the Offensive Rookie of the Year. With 891 yards and six touchdowns on the ground, he also added a serious rushing threat. For a rookie quarterback, his rushing yardage set a new record.
