Maryland’s First bartaco Moving Forward

Published On:

We informed you back in January that Bartaco has agreed to open its first restaurant in Maryland at 11886 Grand Park Ave. in North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose. A little over six months later, there is some activity as the restaurant’s liquor licensing hearing is set for later this month and construction gets ready to start.

The location where Nada had stood, which closed last September after almost eight years, will now be occupied by Bartaco. Bartaco’s liquor license hearing is scheduled for Thursday, August 21st at 10 a.m., according to Montgomery County’s Alcoholic Beverage Services (ABS). Based on scaffolding that has been erected at the site, development is also expected to ramp up. The restaurant has not yet been given an opening time.

Bartaco has locations in Virginia (Ballston, Mosaic, Reston) and Washington, DC (Mt. Vernon and The Wharf) that are close by. The beach cultures of southern California, Uruguay, and Brazil served as inspiration for the restaurant. We provide elegant street food in a laid-back setting with a coastal theme. We serve beer straight from the bottle, creative drinks, and freshly squeezed juices. Bartaco makes for a memorable experience and conjures a trip to a chic beach resort.
