Sassy Cleaners Closes After Thirty Years, Dunkin’ to Take Over The Space

At 4011 Norbeck Road in Rockville, a new Dunkin’ restaurant is scheduled to open, occupying a location with a lengthy history in the neighborhood. The coffee and doughnut franchise will join the commercial complex that houses Angelo’s Deli and EATHAI (near Big Greek Cafe) by occupying the space that was once occupied by Sassy Cleaners for thirty years.


Thanks to Google MapsLongstanding Sassy Cleaners, located at the Norbeck Road site, concluded its pressing and cleaning activities on May 23 and formally closed on June 14. The proprietors of Sassy Cleaners, who marked the end of an era for the well-liked dry cleaner, thanked the community for 30 years of business in a farewell message to their customers.

Dunkin has persisted in its efforts to penetrate the local market. A new store debuted on the main floor of the Central Silver Spring apartment complex, a new Dunkin’/Baskin Robbins hybrid just had a grand opening at 12106 Georgia Ave. in Wheaton/Glenmont, and a new location was recently announced for Wootton Pkwy. Additionally, a new site is being built in Derwood on Muncaster Road. The future Norbeck store does not yet have an opening date.
