Bowlero Corporation stated last year that it was changing its name to Lucky Strike Entertainment. The company’s legal name has changed, and its stock ticker symbol has changed from NYSE: BOWL to NYSE: LUCK, ushering in a new era for the business. At a celebration at Lucky Strike Rockville, 15720 Shady Grove Rd. in Gaithersburg, the first local rebrand will be introduced.
The rebranding initiative will eventually be implemented at all of Bowlero’s sites, including the former Bowl America on Clopper Road in Gaithersburg and Bethesda’s Westbard Square, in addition to the Shady Grove Road facility. Additionally, Lucky Strike can be found at Westfield Montgomery Mall. Although the rebranding at these sites is scheduled to take place during the next year and a half, Lucky Strike Rockville will be the first to undergo the change.
On Saturday, August 9th, from 12 PM to 3 PM, 15720 Shady Grove Road will host the Lucky Launch Party. Free bowling, arcade games, food discounts, and more will be available to attendees during the afternoon. RSVP here to be a part of the celebration.
What is Lucky Strike, then? Blacklight bowling, a large interactive arcade, a bar, a lounge, and a menu of food and drinks are all available at this location. The event page states that there will be no lane reservations available and that bowling will depend on lane availability, possibly limiting each attendee to one game at the management’s discretion. A $10 arcade card, good just on the day of the event, will be given to each visitor.
