A cat stuck in an automobile engine under intense heat was successfully rescued thanks to a concerted effort by Montgomery County Fire & Rescue (MCFRS FS715 Burtonsville), Montgomery County Police, and Animal Services.The operation, which MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer described as a technical rescue, was carried out in a crowded parking lot with the help of Home of Their Own Rescue and rescue volunteer Liza Kudel.
