Last month, we let you know that Harris Teeter, located at 11845 Old Georgetown Rd. in North Bethesda, is set to
close permanently
. A customer service representative from the Gaithersburg store confirmed the North Bethesda store is now closed.
The closure was scheduled to take place “on or before July 20, 2025”, and the customer service representative shared that many employees from that location have already started working at the Gaithersburg store. A replacement tenant has not been named. The full e-mail from Harris Teeter announcing the closure last month can be seen below:

Our VIC card records indicate that you have shopped at the North Bethesda Center Harris Teeter located at 11845 Old Georgetown Rd.
Bethesda, Md. After careful consideration, we have decided to close this location. The store closing date will be on or before July 20, 2025.
This location has operated as a Harris Teeter since September 2008, and we have been honored to proudly serve your neighborhood over the last 17 years. We look forward to continuing to serve you at one or more of our many area locations:
