The annual Drive for Supplies distribution event is set to take place at Parkland Middle School (4610 W Frankfort Dr. Rockville, MD) on Thursday, July 24, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., or while supplies last. This event offers families the opportunity to pick up new and gently used school supplies.
The supplies have been collected and donated by Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) students and staff as they cleaned out lockers, desks, and closets at the end of the school year. The event is hosted by the Division of Sustainability and Compliance.
In addition to the supply distribution, the UpCounty Hub and Rise-N-Shine Foundation will provide food boxes to families. Attendees will also have the chance to sign up for services such as SNAP benefits, Free and Reduced-Price Meals, and various summer support programs.
The event aims to provide school essentials, access to healthy food, and information on beneficial programs and services, fostering community connections as the new school year approaches.
