Kiin Imm Thai to Open Second Montgomery County Location

Published On:

The owners of Kiin Imm Thai, a popular and highly rated Thai restaurant that opened its first location in Vienna, VA and has a restaurant in Rockville, MD, will open a second Montgomery County location in Gaithersburg.

The Gaithersburg restaurant will be named Thai Two Cents and it will be located at 255 Spectrum Ave at the Spectrum Town Center, taking over the space that was home to California Tortilla for approximately ten years until it closed its doors in November 2024. The restaurant is aiming to open by the end of the year, but the opening may not be until 2026, depending on construction and permits.

Kiin Imm Thai is known for offering a unique menu that reflects the traditions of Thai street food cooking. The Rockville location was featured in Eater DC’s “

15 Standout Thai Restaurants Around DC

” list. They offer classic Thai street food and chef specialties, with options like fried tofu larb and boat noodle soup, and they also feature monthly specials.
