Economic Development Committee to Review Q1 2025 Economic Indicators for Montgomery County

Montgomery County’s first-quarter 2025 economic indicators, including employment, real estate, venture capital, and the manufacturing sector, will be briefed to the Economic Development Committee during its July 10 meeting.


According to the news release, representatives from the Montgomery County Planning Department and the Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) will brief the Economic Development (ECON) Committee on Montgomery County’s economic indicators for the first quarter of 2025 at their meeting on Thursday, July 10 at 9:30 a.m.

Chair Natali Fani-Gonz lez, Councilwoman Marilyn Balcombe, Councilwoman Evan Glass, and Councilwoman Laurie-Anne Sayles are all members of the ECON Committee.

Quarterly Economic Indicators for Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) Q1 2025

Briefing: MCEDC and Planning Department personnel will provide the ECON Committee with an update on Montgomery County’s first quarter 2025 economic indicators. Data on employment by main industry sectors, unemployment rates, and the labor force will all be included in the briefing. A summary of venture capital, development, and real estate investments will also be covered. Representatives of the Planning Department will also give information on land use and the economics of the manufacturing sector in the county.
