The city’s landlord-tenant code is being updated by Rockville’s Department of Housing and Community Development, and a draft is anticipated this autumn after community outreach and input from door-to-door participation and listening sessions.
The city’s landlord-tenant code is currently being updated by the Rockville Department of Housing and Community Development. It is anticipated that work sessions with the Mayor and Council will follow the publishing of a draft of the revised code in the early fall.
To get input, the city held virtual listening sessions with tenants and landlords in May. Through door-to-door outreach, over 1,000 residents were directly contacted this summer to address housing-related issues. The drafting process will benefit from these discussions.
