There has been further information made public by the Montgomery County Department of Police Department (MCPD) about a tragic collision that happened in Wheaton on Sunday, July 6, 2025.
Montgomery County Fire Rescue and 4th District officers were called to the scene at around 9:30 p.m. to investigate a pedestrian collision, according to MCPD. Blanca Elida Parada Del Cid, 47, of Kensington, was struck by a car as she crossed Veirs Mill Road.
According to the investigation, the driver of a Nissan Rogue struck Parada Del Cid as she was crossing Veirs Mill Road, close to Galt Avenue. At the scene, Parada Del Cid was declared deceased. The Nissan’s driver stayed on the scene.
CRU detectives are requesting that anybody who may have seen the collision phone (240) 773-6620 as this is an active and ongoing investigation.
