Prepare to dance! On Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Rising Star Studio, which is situated at 18505 N Frederick Ave. in the Gaithersburg S.C. shopping area (next to Bruster’s), will celebrate its Grand Opening. The celebrations, which will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Gaithersburg City Council members, are open to the public.
With a variety of demo sessions and performances by instructors and guests, the event promises to be an interesting day. A performance by the community-known ensemble Sabor Latino will be a unique highlight. Attendees can join a Social Dance Day Party after the performances.
Owner Aranda Brown, a teacher at Gaithersburg High School and sponsor of Sabor Latino, established Rising Star Studio with an emphasis on community collaboration, progress, and passion. Brown, who was recently honored by the City Council on Sabor Latino Day, thanked the community for its support, saying that without all of YOU, NONE of this would be possible.
The studio is dedicated to growing its program offerings in response to community desire and has a talented staff of instructors.
