Robert Dyer reports that Hollister Co. is making a comeback to Bethesda’s Montgomery Mall.
Abercrombie & Fitch owns the retail clothing company Hollister Co., which is well-known for its casual clothes with a Southern California vibe that appeals to teenagers and young adults. Its beach-themed businesses usually sell loungewear, jeans, and graphic tees in a relaxed setting.
In 2016, the brand’s old store at Montgomery Mall shuttered. The new store has not yet been given an opening date.
Gap has announced that it will permanently close its Montgomery Mall location later this month, according to other retail news. There is a going-out-of-business sale happening on right now. The national clothing brand Gap is well-known for its casual attire and accessories for women, men, and kids. In Montgomery County, there are other Gap stores in Bethesda Row, Rockville, Chevy Chase, and Clarksburg (outlet).
The old Aeropostale premises was recently occupied by Garage, a fashion company based in Montreal. Garage, a popular brand among young women, specializes in fashion-forward, trend-driven casual apparel, including dresses, loungewear, accessories, and denim.
