The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) has put in place detours for Ride On bus routes 12, 13, and 19 in Silver Spring due to ongoing Purple Line construction. The new routes and temporary stations will remain in place until at least August 2025.
In Silver Spring, Ride On Bus Routes 12, 13, and 19 will be detoured due to Purple Line construction, which started on Wednesday, June 18 near Wayne Avenue and Manchester Road. The missed and alternate stops remain the same, however the Route 12 detour now travels down Manchester Road rather than Sligo Creek Parkway. Until the closure is lifted, which is anticipated to happen in August 2025, these detours will remain in place. The detours’ specifics are listed below.
