In Olde Towne Gaithersburg, a historic shopping mall that was formerly a grain mill has been sold.

Granary Row was purchased for $6.85 million by a company based in Highland, Maryland, according to a report by Maryland Newsletters. Currently, the 28,260-square-foot building is fully leased to a number of tenants, including Winkler Automotive, a church, an urgent care center, and the well-known restaurant South House Garden.

According to the Maryland Newsletters report, the mill was built by the Bowman Brothers and ran along the railroad tracks until the 1960s, when it closed. Later, it was converted into the current shopping center before being purchased by real estate developer Doug Jemal. The property was recently transferred to Prime 1, LLC, under the leadership of Sekar Venkatesh.
