Families from all over the state are flocking to Cook Out’s sole store in Salisbury, Maryland, to sample the much-anticipated and adored seasonal watermelon shake, which is only served in July and August.
Cook Out’s vanilla ice cream base incorporates real watermelon chunks. With tiny pieces of actual fruit, this avoids the false Jolly Rancher taste and adds a pleasing texture aspect and natural fruit flavor. We talked to families from five different Maryland counties who came in Thursday afternoon to sample the well-known milkshake that needs a spoon instead of a straw.
It has a devoted following because of its limited availability and distinctive flavor. When it is reported that the watermelon shake will once again be available, social media is frequently a flurry of activity. One family drove three hours specifically for the milkshake, while diners from Charles, Frederick, Montgomery, Prince George’s, and Washington counties raved about it. Cook Out was founded in Greensboro, North Carolina, and has built a devoted customer base because of its wide selection of reasonably priced food and unique business model.
