An empty house under long-term construction was completely engulfed in flames when Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a house fire in the 500 block of Ethan Allen Avenue in Takoma Park at approximately 5:45 a.m. on July 4.
About 50 firefighters put in time to contain the fire, according to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer. The cause is still being looked into, and no injuries were recorded. The house was declared completely destroyed.
